Introduction
Living Fully Sevierville opened at 1023 Center View Road in Sevierville, Tennessee, and within seven months on the Cobu platform, our residents have exchanged over 1,088 comments, formed nine interest groups, and RSVPed for events in numbers that most established communities would envy. We are a new community in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, and residents are actively engaging on our community platform, forming groups, organizing events, and sharing local recommendations. They are building something together. Here is what that looks like based on real resident activity.
Life Inside Living Fully Sevierville: What Residents Actually Do Here
85% of our residents that use our community platform are actively engaging with each other every month, and we are a new community. The feed is a mix of everything: groomer recommendations, new residents introducing themselves (one moved from south Florida and posted about loving both Publix and the Smokys in the same zip code), parents sharing milestones, and neighbors looking out for each other's pets.
We welcomed new community coordinators on-site, and they have already introduced themselves on the feed and started building connections with residents. With this kind of organic foundation, the trajectory is exciting.
The Events and Social Scene
We have hosted five events so far, and every one has exceeded RSVP expectations. Breakfast on the Go had 46 RSVPs. The Kickoff to Summer Pool Party had 28 RSVPs. Bingo Bash Game Night pulled 20 RSVPs. Mother's Day Succulents and Sweet Tea brought 11 RSVPs.
Residents have also organized their own potluck meet-and-greets and porch decorating contests on the feed without any prompting from our team. That kind of grassroots initiative, visible right on the platform, is a strong signal. With our coordinators now on-site and building the calendar, the programming is only going to grow.
What Residents Talk About Every Day
Our residents take care of each other in ways that show up clearly on the feed. One posted offering babysitting. Another offered gift-wrapping help during the holidays. When a new puppy owner posted an apology for barking, the responses were all encouragement and understanding. Residents share Sevier County Animal Shelter adoption fee updates and offer church invitations in a spirit of welcome.
For dining, The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe gets mentioned constantly on the feed. Blue Moose was called the best burger in Sevier County. The Local Goat, Cookie Dough Monster Burger and Shakes, and PawPaw's Catfish Kitchen in Wears Valley all have fans. Publix is the grocery anchor, with Kroger and ALDI rounding out the options. Laurel Falls and the Gatlinburg Trail are the most recommended hikes.
Our marketplace is active for a new community. Furniture, an espresso machine, a karaoke machine, and a handmade baby blanket crafted by a resident's aunt have all found new homes.
Interest Groups
The Local Events group leads with 32 members. Arts and Crafts (30 members) and the Foodie Group (26 members) follow. The Dog Group has 20 members. Music (15 members) and Tasting Club (15 members) give people avenues to explore together. Support Small Businesses (13 members) shows residents care about the local community. Health and Wellness (12 members) has spawned an evening run club. Car Enthusiasts (11 members) brought gearheads together. All of these were created by residents who saw a gap and filled it.
Is Living Fully Sevierville Worth It?
An 85% monthly active rate in a new community is meaningful. Over 1,088 comments, nine interest groups, and strong event RSVPs tell a clear story. What makes this community compelling is the combination of what is already happening organically on the platform and the professional programming our new coordinators are bringing. Residents who move in now are joining a community that is actively building its identity. If you want to live near the Smoky Mountains with neighbors who show up for each other, this is worth a look.
